Strategic Account Manager, Engineering Services

Eaton’s North America Sales division is currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager, Engineering Services. This position is remote within the United States, but must live within 100 miles from a major airport. This strategic, customer-facing leadership role focused on driving long-term growth, executive relationships, and commercial outcomes within hyperscale and multi-tenant data center accounts.

What you'll do:

Job Summary: 
•    The Strategic Account Manager, Engineering Services is responsible for developing, managing, and growing Engineering Services business within a portfolio of strategic hyperscale and multi-tenant data center customers.
•    Serves as the primary executive-level relationship owner, driving customer strategy, fostering partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities that increase revenue and customer value.
•    Works closely with Engineering Services, National Accounts Sales, operations, and business leadership to align customer objectives with Eaton capabilities.

Strategic Account Management (60%)
•    Own and grow Engineering Services relationships with assigned hyperscale and multi-tenant data center customers.
•    Serve as the primary executive-level point of contact and trusted advisor.
•    Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned to customer priorities and growth objectives.
•    Lead account planning initiatives that increase customer engagement and share of wallet.
•    Translate voice-of-customer insights into business recommendations.
•    Partner with NAS vertical account leaders and Engineering Services leadership.
•    Maintain executive ownership of customer satisfaction, account performance, and risk mitigation.

Commercial Leadership (40%)
•    Drive Engineering Services revenue growth, profitability, and retention.
•    Identify and expand lifecycle services, modernization projects, testing, preventive maintenance, and recurring programs.
•    Lead strategic commercial discussions involving pricing, service agreements, and long-term partnerships.
•    Support complex quotations with alignment around scope, risk, profitability, and execution.
•    Coordinate cross-functional resources to position and deliver solutions.
•    Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline and forecast.
•    Drive closure through value-based selling and effective negotiation.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
•    Minimum five (5) years of electrical industry sales/marketing/operations experience
•    Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

•    Ability to travel 35% of the time.

•    Experience managing national or strategic customer accounts involving multiple stakeholders.

•    Demonstrated success growing strategic customer relationships.

•    Experience developing account growth plans and revenue objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in engineering services, field engineering, or critical power infrastructure.

•    Direct experience supporting hyperscale or multi-tenant data center customers.

•    Services-based account management experience

•    Familiarity with multi-site service deployments.

•    Experience selling service-based solutions and recurring revenue programs.

•    Experience engaging executive-level customer stakeholders and leading enterprise-wide account strategies 

•    Ability to influence cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.

•    Demonstrated experience with customer contract negotiations.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.  This position has a target total compensation range of $167,250 - $245,300

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
