Prinsco is looking for a hands on Yard Manager who takes pride in creating a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role leads daily yard operations, supports and develops employees, and ensures materials and equipment are ready to serve our customers and production teams.

What you will do

Lead and support yard employees with a focus on safety, teamwork, and accountability
Plan and coordinate daily yard activities to keep materials moving efficiently
Maintain a clean, well organized yard and equipment area
Partner with operations and logistics to meet shipping and receiving needs
Train employees and reinforce safe work practices

Experience with equipment and inventory management is a plus

Qualifications:
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in yard management or a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record of managing teams and coordinating yard operations efficiently.
- Experience with inventory management and control processes.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various yard activities simultaneously.
- Proficient in using yard management software and other relevant technology tools.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve yard operations and efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
