At Allstate, we're looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to serve as the Senior Manager, State Manager, overseeing the performance and growth of assigned states. In this role, you'll operate as the "CEO of the State" with end-to-end accountability for executing and delivering SSPG (segmented, sustainable, profitable, growth) objectives while balancing customer needs, market dynamics, risk management, and business objectives.

What You'll Do

1. Own State Strategy, Performance, and Business Outcomes

Serve as the business owner for assigned states, accountable for long-term growth, profitability, customer retention, and market position.

•Own state performance by establishing strategic priorities, developing and executing plans, monitoring results, and continuously refining strategies to achieve growth, profitability, customer value, and risk management objectives.

• Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, customer behavior, business drivers, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform business decisions.

• Lead the evaluation and implementation of product, pricing, underwriting, risk management, and distribution initiatives to achieve state objectives.

• Serve as the primary business liaison with state regulatory bodies, partnering across functions to support filings, approvals, and regulatory engagement that advance state business objectives.

2. Lead Cross-Functional Execution and Enterprise Influence

Drive alignment and execution across multiple stakeholders to successfully deliver business results.

• Build strong partnerships across Product, Actuarial, Legal, Claims, Finance, Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Technology, and other key stakeholders to advance strategic objectives.

• Develop data-driven business cases and recommendations that influence decision-making and support state and enterprise priorities.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation, aligning resources, managing dependencies, and ensuring successful execution.

• Navigate competing priorities, influence stakeholders with diverse perspectives, and build alignment around critical business decisions.

• Collaborate across business channels and organizations to maximize customer value, business performance, and enterprise outcomes.

3. Build Organizational Capability and Drive Continuous Improvement

Strengthen team effectiveness, foster innovation, and create a culture focused on ownership and results.

• Lead by example coaching, mentoring, and developing talent to build a high-performing organization, strengthen leadership capabilities, and prepare future leaders.

• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, trust, innovation, continuous learning, and ownership that empowers teams to achieve business objectives.

• Challenge existing assumptions, encourage data-driven decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.

• Champion continuous improvement by promoting experimentation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices across teams and functions.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of experience in insurance, product management, pricing, risk management, analytics, or a related business leadership role.

• Proven ability to lead complex business initiatives and drive measurable results.

• Strong financial acumen with experience interpreting P&Ls, business performance metrics, and market trends.

• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and gain alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 134,000.00 - 209,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
