Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12pm – 6pm (hours vary by site), subject to change during summer and intersession based on program needs.

Position Overview: Staff Support Specialist will be working with and taking direction from the ELOP after-school program team. We are looking for a Staff Support Specialist to enhance the competencies of all ELOP line staff by designing and conducting training that will boost employees’ workplace performance. This person will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering modules, learning materials, and managing all phases of staff support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all site and organizational sign-in, sign-out, and attendance procedures, includingEZReportrequirements.
• Collaborate with Program Facilitators, Coordinators, and partner agencies toidentifystaff development needs and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support.
• Design, prepare, and deliver individual and grouptrainingsfor new and existing staff, including onboarding, professional development, and skill-building opportunities.
• Conduct staff observations, evaluate performance and training effectiveness, develop support plans, and recommend adjustments to improve staff success.
• Create andmaintaintraining materials, resources, and tools that support staff development and program quality.
• Support staff with classroom management, activity planning, scheduling, and implementation of ELOP program expectations.
• Communicate staff concerns, performance issues, and program needs to appropriate stakeholdersin a timely mannerandsubmitrequired reports and weekly recaps.
• Stay current on best practices, trends, and tools related to youth development, after-school programming, and employee training.
• Support TCF and ELOP trainings, meetings, professional development opportunities, programs, events, and organization-wideinitiatives asassigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to design,facilitate, and implement stafftrainingsacross multiple TCF and ELOP program sites.

• Proficiencywith computers and common business software, including Microsoft Office and related program management systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GEDrequired.
• Mustpossessat least 48 semester college units, a county paraprofessional certificate, or successful completion of the Paraeducator Exam.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with youth in an educational, after-school, or related setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and youth development skills preferred.
• Mustpossessreliable transportation and be able to travel between program locations as needed.
• Must successfully pass DOJ/FBI background clearance and meet all district and agency employment requirements.
• Must obtain andmaintainall required clearances, certifications, andtrainings.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CLEARANCES

• TB clearancerequired.
• Mandated Reporter Trainingrequired(provided by TCF).
• Sexual Harassment Prevention Trainingrequired(provided by TCF).
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed primarily at school sites, training locations, and community-based program settings.
• Position requires regular travel between multiple program locations.
• Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking,observing, and actively engaging with staff and students.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work to supporttrainings, meetings, events, and organizational initiatives.
