Staff Physician, Diagnostic Radiologist (Community Division) - Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging, McGovern Medical School

The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging is seeking a trained Diagnostic Radiologist to join our growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. The successful candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging interpretation across a broad range of modalities and collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to support timely, accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including:
  • X-ray
  • CT
  • MRI
  • Ultrasound
  • Other imaging modalities within the physician's area of expertise
• Provide accurate, timely, and clinically relevant imaging reports.
• Perform image-guided procedures as appropriate to training and practice scope.
• Provide consultation regarding appropriate imaging studies and diagnostic strategies.
• Participate in shared call coverage according to departmental requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of advances in diagnostic imaging, technology, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License.
• Strong diagnostic interpretation and clinical communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care.
