Staff Accountant - Temp-to-Hire

A stable, growing company in the waste management and recycling industry is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in Vernon. This is an immediate-need replacement role, offering the chance to step into day-to-day accounting work with a clear path to long-term stability.

We're looking for someone with a solid general accounting background, strong communication skills, and the ability to keep pace in a busy environment.

What You'll Do

• Support daily accounting operations and general ledger activity
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Work cross-functionally to keep financial data accurate
• Take on additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong problem-solver
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

\n$30 - $34 an hour\n

Schedule: Fully onsite in Vernon, CA, Monday–Friday, start time between 7:00–8:00 AM. Contract-to-hire
