Staff Accountant (4400)

Job DetailsJob Location: RG Corporate - Dalton, GA 30721Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/yearJob Summary: The Staff Accountant will provide support to the Controller in the monthly processing and preparation of financial transactions for the purpose of issuing accurate financial statements and to provide support to the accounting department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
Monthly close of financial records
Assist in tracking fixed assets
Prepare financial reports for management
Ensure that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and GAAP
Prepare and file sales use tax returns

Responsible for additional duties and accountabilities that will be assigned as needed.

 
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Experience with Quickbooks
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1-2 years general accounting experience

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to lift 15 pounds
