Job Description
The Aeri Resources Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable support the finance team by performing essential accounting tasks that ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts, prepare financial reports, profit and loss statements, as well as reconciling all vendor accounts monthly, entering invoices and process payments.
Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly closing and accounting reports.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to the GL and documents business transactions.
Analyze and review budgets and expenditures.
Prepares and reviews revenue, expenses, payroll entries.
Supports the month-end and year-end closing process.
Prepares and posts journal entries.
Prepares and analyzes account reconciliations and resolves accounting discrepancies.
Maintains financial databases, computer software systems and filing systems.
Assists and interacts with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Enter invoices, process check runs and requests, sets up new vendors and balances vendor statements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
QuickBooks experience preferred
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
Knowledge of federal and state regulations
