Job Details: Job Location: Illinois College - Jacksonville, IL, Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00Hourly, Civic Navigators are student leaders who will help Illinois College students prepare to participate in the 2026 election. Navigators will receive training on nonpartisan voter engagement, Illinois voting procedures, and reliable election resources, then help fellow students create a simple, personalized voting plan.
Civic Navigators will:
Have short, one-on-one conversations with approximately 17 fellow students about their voting plans.
Help students find reliable information about registration, voting options, ballots, and polling locations.
Assist with brief 5–10 minute classroom presentations (depending on individual interests) and other campus outreach.
Help staff Civic Holiday activities and other IC Votes programming.
Provide student feedback on voting resources and educational materials.
Maintain a strictly nonpartisan approach; Navigators will never tell students who or what to vote for.
Qualifications: No previous civic engagement or election experience is required. We’re looking for students who are dependable, comfortable talking with peers, and interested in helping make voting easier and more accessible for other students.
