You've stood on a dock at 6 a.m. and fixed the bottleneck yourself. Now imagine doing that for hundreds of independent foodservice distributors who can choose whether to follow your lead — and choose to, because you've earned it.

UniPro Foodservice is looking for a Senior Vice President, Supply Chain & Logistics to lead Peachtree Freight Logistics (PFL), UniPro Transportation Services (UTS), and the broader transportation and supply chain services we bring to the Membership. This isn't a "watch freight spend and file the report" job. This is a P&L-owning, rate-negotiating, network-building, board-presenting, Member-trusted-advisor seat — one with as much operating rigor as it has executive visibility.

🎯 What You'll Actually Own

Own the P&L. Full accountability for PFL's operating plan — revenue growth, expense management, Net Income, Member load growth, and documented freight savings. Make the numbers move.
Run the network. Lead transportation procurement and rate negotiations across every mode, plus carrier performance and freight-management strategy across a footprint that spans the country. This is heavy, hands-on freight-of-foodstuffs work — not a market-watching desk job.
Master the tech stack — and teach it. Own the TMS roadmap end to end. Work fluently across multiple transportation management systems and train Members and internal teams to actually use them.
Keep freight moving, sheltered from disruption. Own inbound freight strategy, including the sheltering approaches that protect Members from capacity swings, disruptions, and market shocks.
Own distribution and warehousing strategy. Partner on redistribution, warehousing, and network-design decisions that keep goods moving efficiently from origin to Member docks.
Be the trusted advisor. Consult directly with independent distributor-owners who can choose not to listen to you — and make them want to.
Lead the team and the room. Lead a team of six, sit on UniPro's senior leadership team, and co-chair the Operations Committee alongside the Board committee chair.
Own SCOPE. Plan and execute the biannual Supply Chain, Operations & Equipment Conference — sponsorship revenue, programming, and all.

🌟 What Success Looks Like in the First 18–24 Months

You deliver the Net Income plan, including Member load growth, program growth, and pass-through freight savings targets.
Member participation grows measurably — you can name the Members you brought in, and why.
The tech stack has a roadmap, assessed, evaluated, and endorsed by senior leadership for the next several years.
A repeatable savings story exists. A structured supply chain assessment and savings-quantification methodology is live across the Membership.
Core agreements are current. Carrier and provider agreements are renegotiated, with improved rates and measured service performance.

🧠 What You Bring to the Table

The non-negotiables:

10+ years of progressive leadership in transportation, logistics, or supply chain — with a heavy focus on transporting consumer goods and foodstuffs specifically.
Real rate-negotiation chops. You've sat across from carriers and brokers and walked away with a better deal, not just reviewed someone else's.
Multi-TMS fluency. You've worked across more than one transportation management system, and you can train someone else to use it too.
Depth in distribution and warehousing. You know how goods move from a DC dock to a Member's truck, not just in theory.
P&L ownership — operating plans, budgets, revenue growth, and profitability, with a track record of hitting the number.
Executive presence. Comfortable in front of a Board, a Member governance committee, or a room full of skeptical independent owners.
Proven influence without authority. A track record of driving voluntary adoption among people you can't order around — that's the core skill in this seat, not a nice-to-have.

Extra gold stars for:

Foodservice distribution experience.
An advanced degree or recognized supply chain certification (CSCP, CPSM, CTL, or equivalent).
Experience inside a member-owned cooperative, buying group, or franchise system.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and executive experience.
