Overview

As a Senior Social Creative Strategist at Razorfish, you will be joining our 80+ person social discipline within our fast-growing Consumer & Content Experience practice. 

In this role, you will be embedded on-site with our client, a large entertainment brand, working alongside a team of over 25 people who manage organic social marketing for the brand and all its shows. As a social content publisher on the team, you will be fostering and growing a vibrant online community of millions of deeply engaged fans across the client's 9+ social channels on Meta Platforms, TikTok, YouTube, and X. 

This position plays a key role in translating programming priorities into platform-native creative ideas and content strategy with a strong focus on talent-driven video, launch moments, and reactive social storytelling that builds fandom and drives engagement. You'll work closely with show marketing leads, editorial, creative production, and talent teams to develop breakthrough social content strategies that elevate new and returning programming across scripted series, unscripted originals, documentaries, and live events.

Responsibilities

Creative Direction 

• Contribute to talent-driven social video content, ensuring alignment with show tone, audience trends, and talent comfort
• Coordinate and help produce native social content in partnership with talent relations, production, and marketing teams
• Partner with publishing and production teams to develop scalable content formats, launch moments, reactive campaigns, and fan-first creative
• Own copywriting and tone guidance for talent social asks, post captions, and channel-specific messaging
• Help oversee content calendars and creative direction for a slate of shows/titles, ensuring consistent engagement and visibility
• Review and approve social assets and post copy, ensuring 100% accuracy prior to publishing 

Social Strategy 

• Help drive social creative strategy across the platform's social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X), with a focus on storytelling that builds buzz and fan retention, especially during title launches, trailer drops, and major cultural moments

• Develop content briefs, social calendars, and creative outlines for concepts that are timely, platform-native, and fandom-friendly

• Contribute to the social brief process for priority title campaigns,  including strategy points, competitive insights, tone guides, and content rationale

• Identify creative opportunities to leverage talent and partners to create moments that excite and engage fans and subscribers

• Monitor social trends and audience behavior, flagging insights and creative opportunities that align with programming priorities

• Pitch innovative ideas for expanding social promotion across emerging platforms

• Assist in launching new social handles and growing existing ones

• Stay accountable for engagement/growth goals, campaign performance, and content optimization strategies 

Collaboration + Communication 

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Talent Relations, Programming, Innovation, and Platform to ensure cohesive messaging across touchpoints

• Light community management by interacting with audiences and identifying opportunities for cross-pollination of engagement tactics

• Maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends to support key initiatives 

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in social media, brand marketing, or content strategy, ideally within entertainment, streaming, or media (in-house or agency)
• Demonstrated experience developing content briefs, creative concepts, and production timelines, with growing ownership of campaign-level strategy
• Experience contributing to or concepting talent-driven content in partnership with production and show marketing teams
• Strong understanding of how content performs differently across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X, and fan/fandom behavior more broadly
• Strategic thinker with a creative POV, trend fluency, and a passion for storytelling and culture
• Familiarity with social publishing and analytics tools such as ListenFirst, Sprout, Sprinklr, Monday.com, etc. 

Not Needed, But Nice to Have: 

• Prior experience with streaming or entertainment brands

• Familiarity with talent management workflows and on-set production constraints

• A knack for writing clever, on-brand social copy

• Background in social creative development or agency-side strategy

• Experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite

• Comfort working across multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, matrixed environments

Compensation Range: USD $31.79 - USD $48.94/Hourly. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
