Sr. Rx Marketplace Program Contract Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Rx Marketplace Program Contract Manager based in the United States.

This is a senior contract management role supporting contracting activities across a prescription marketplace program, from negotiation through implementation. You will help develop effective agreements, manage contract lifecycles, and ensure commercial arrangements meet business objectives while minimizing risk. The role requires strong knowledge of the pharmacy industry, health plan and employer contracting, regulatory considerations, and revenue structures. You will work closely with legal stakeholders and internal teams to establish appropriate terms and support successful program execution. The position also involves staying current on product offerings and industry developments to ensure contracts accurately reflect evolving business needs. Success in this role requires strong organization, follow-through, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to build productive relationships. Accountabilities:

• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring agreements are properly signed, stored, organized, tracked, and maintained.
• Support contracting initiatives from initial negotiation through implementation, helping ensure compliance, appropriate risk management, and effective execution.
• Assist in developing contract terms that support successful program outcomes for all parties while appropriately protecting the organization.
• Partner with legal stakeholders when appropriate to review and optimize contract terms, address risks, and support effective lifecycle management.
• Apply knowledge of pharmacy, health plan, and employer contracting requirements when preparing and implementing agreements.
• Stay current on relevant product offerings, pharmacy marketplace developments, industry trends, regulatory considerations, and commercial practices.
• Participate in program development activities for existing clients and prospective customers, including research, brainstorming, and contract-related support.
• Participate in client meetings, staff meetings, team activities, and other collaborative initiatives as needed.
• Maintain accurate contract records and provide consistent follow-up on outstanding contracting activities and implementation requirements.
• Collaborate across teams to support accurate and effective contracting while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in the pharmacy industry, including significant experience with contract implementation and/or contracting.
• Deep understanding of pharmacy, health plan, and employer contracting terms, including relevant regulatory requirements, revenue structures, and broader industry terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through across complex contracting activities.
• Ability and willingness to develop a thorough understanding of product offerings and translate that knowledge into accurate and effective contracts.
• Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently with limited direction while contributing effectively to a team-focused environment.
• Proficiency with business and collaboration tools, including Excel, Google Workspace, PowerPoint/Slides, and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to handle confidential business information responsibly and comply with applicable safety, security, and information-protection policies.

• Base salary range varies by work location:
  • San Francisco and Seattle: $121,000–$193,000 USD
  • New York: $111,000–$177,000 USD
  • Santa Monica: $101,000–$161,000 USD
  • Other office locations: $91,000–$145,000 USD
