Sr Physician Relations Rep

Overview

Works under the supervision and direction of the Director of Corporate Health to define collaborative goals as defined from the Corporate Care/Physician Finder, Marketing, Physician Services ad Heart Center leadership teams. Reviews market research and provider database resources to develop and implement strategies to inform, engage and educate regional providers to support service-line growth and enhancing knowledge of Huntsville Hospital Health services, physicians, facilities, and specialists. Conducts ongoing outreach and event strategies across the North Alabama health care region. Maintain, communicates and fosters relationships with internal physician marketing coordinators and corporate business development representatives. Promotes Care Coordination/Physician Finder events and services increase community and employer awareness of HH Health services and providers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Collaborate and coordinate with Corporate Health, Marketing Representatives, and Physician Network Teams to implement strategies, outreach and marketing tools to develop a comprehensive provider outreach and promotional program.Establish goals and report objectives and results within the CRM and to the Director and Leadership.Maintain and create a database of primary care providers to be used in outreach, including digital and mailing campaigns, face to face visits, lunch and learns, etc.Maintain a database of physicians’ clinical interests and topics for possible speaking opportunities. Coordinate with Marketing for Speakers Bureau and media requests. Also use as a resource for presentations including CME for professional groups.Identify needs and gaps for requested specialties.Build responsive, engaging, and trusting relations with the physician and health care community.Respond to customer/provider needs and pro-actively identify new services, physicians, demographics, and targets in a timely manner.Facilitate physician orientation twice weekly for physicians joining HH medical staff including providing appropriate non-clinical information.Includes the design and update of the orientation form to share with Med Staff Office, Foundation and Marketing while protecting physician private information.Maintain a proof, and distribute an updated and revised Physician Medical Staff Directory in digital and print form twice yearly. Identify employed physicians.Serve as liaison between physician practices and HH Health. Report issues and seek resolution with appropriate HH department/staff. Communicate feedback and concerns and incorporate into the reporting system.Coordination with each new/existing service line, identify speaking engagements, provider outreach visits, and marketing materials in conjunction with meeting market interest and demand.Participate in Health Events, Associations, Marketing Events, Conferences, and community awareness activities as indicated.Identify and share opportunities to promote new physicians and services and maintain ongoing support of HH marketing coordinators and staff.Collaborate with HH Marketing Coordinators and other hospital system business and outreach development representatives/leadership to support a coordinated effort.Coordinate the design, development, and distribution of print and digital materials to support business development.Participate in health events while supporting HH physician finder services and corporate health business development team.Adhere to all Corporate Compliance directives including lunches, gifts, etc.Adhere to all Privacy Standards.All other duties as assigned to support the mission of the hospital, its providers, and communities.

Qualifications

Education Required:  Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.

Education Preferred:  Bachelors Degree preferably in business administration, marketing, public relations, health care administration, or other related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience

Three years of experience in marketing/sales, physician relations, business development, or service experience in the field of health care preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.

Self-motivated and driven with a high level or organizational skills.

Knowledge and familiarity with the North Alabama regions health care providers and services.

Understanding of general medical terminology.

Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to travel throughout the region.

Active participation in local health and/or employer related associations.

Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of analytical ability and awareness.

Proficient in use of computer, to include word processing applications with the ability to work successfully with various computer programs and sales management software.

Presentation and speaking abilities.
