Are you passionate about empowering families and fostering community well-being? EveryMind is seeking bilingual (Spanish/English) interns to support our Family Empowerment Institute (FEI) team, a community-school partnership dedicated to helping families develop the skills and resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency. Through this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in community outreach, case management, and program administration, all while making a meaningful impact on families and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Administration
Keep accurate records of FEI programs and services to ensure program effectiveness.
Assist with administrative tasks, supporting smooth operations within FEI.
Community Outreach and Engagement
Create flyers, social media posts, and other communications to engage the community and promote FEI services.
Help plan and implement classes and workshops that support student learning, family strength, and community health.
Direct Family Support
Provide case management services to caregivers of students, offering guidance and resources to support family stability.
Collect data and conduct training evaluations using surveys to gauge program impact.
Team Collaboration
Work with a diverse, multicultural population and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
Gain experience supporting immigrant and low-income families, learning about unique needs and strategies for engagement.
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Strong interest in community empowerment, family support, and social services
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative approach to community outreach
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment
Openness to feedback and a commitment to learning and growth
Sensitivity and adaptability when working with families from diverse backgrounds, including immigrant and low-income communities
