We are seeking a highly motivated AI Automation Engineering Intern to support the development and implementation of intelligent automation systems across manufacturing and business operations. This role blends software engineering, machine learning, and process automation to solve real-world engineering challenges.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-driven automation tools to optimize manufacturing workflows
- Build scripts and pipelines to automate repetitive engineering and operational tasks
- Assist in developing machine learning models for predictive maintenance, quality control, or process optimization
- Integrate AI solutions with existing systems (ERP, MES, or internal tools)
- Analyze data from manufacturing systems to identify opportunities for automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, and operations
- Document processes, code, and system architectures
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C++
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn)
- Basic understanding of automation tools, APIs, or scripting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with computer vision or image processing
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of data pipelines, SQL, or data visualization tools
Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $22.00 to $24.00 per Hour.

Resonetics is a medical device contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that partners with engineering and R&D teams, from early-stage startups to the world's leading medical device companies, to move precision components from prototype to production-scale manufacturing. Core capabilities span laser processing, nitinol manufacturing, metal fabrication, and raw material supply. Our laser platform enables end-to-end laser processing across cutting, drilling, welding, and ablation at tolerances conventional machining cannot achieve. Nitinol processing extends from raw material through shape setting, electropolishing, and finished component assembly. Raw material capabilities include nitinol wire, sheet, and tubing, along with stainless steel thin-wall tube fabrication. Metal fabrication capabilities span centerless grinding, swiss machining, and photochemical machining.
As a vertically integrated CDMO, Resonetics supports programs across neurovascular, electrophysiology, ophthalmology, neuromodulation, structural heart, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery applications, providing a single manufacturing partner from early development through high-volume production.
The Lightspeed Development Lab is built to compress prototype-to-production timelines, enabling faster design iteration and manufacturing-ready submissions.
