POSITION SUMMARY
As a Web Developer Intern, you will work alongside our Senior Web Developer on a variety of projects that span across WordPress development, PHP scripting. This role is designed for a motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in front-end web development and enhance their technical skills in a real-world environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
WordPress Development
- Assist in building and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring responsive design and optimal user experience.
- Support the customization and development of WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and JavaScript.
- Participate in the creation and integration of web forms, content updates, and site enhancements.
- Introduction to responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Backend and API Development
- Help manage and optimize MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval in WordPress applications.
- Support the integration of third-party services and APIs to enhance site functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth website performance.
Learning and Development
- Engage in learning new programming languages and technologies, with a focus on WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP,
- Participate in code reviews, team workshops, and collaborative projects to develop a deeper understanding of web development.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript; experience with WordPress development is a plus.
- Strong interest in learning about web development, backend programming, and API integrations.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with the development team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Work is primarily performed in an indoor, temperature-controlled office environment.
- Frequent computer use, requiring repetitive hand movements.
