Job Summary

The Leonardo DRS Airborne and Intelligence Systems business is seeking a motivated Associate Planner Intern to support our planning and materials team for Spring 2027. This is a part-time internship designed to work around the student's class schedule, offering hands-on experience in supply chain planning within a global defense and intelligence technology organization.

In this role, the intern will gain practical exposure to production planning, material supply analysis, and cross-functional coordination between planning, project accounting, and project management teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a current student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an MBA to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while building professional skills in a collaborative, mission-driven environment — all while maintaining a schedule that accommodates coursework.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project material and depot repair unit support
• Perform material supply analysis, monitor, and recommend schedule improvements
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions
• Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule
• Create reports for distribution to program office, customer visits and management.
• Monitor production status and mfg order completion dates for recommendations or adjustments
• Support floor part requests, cycle and physical inventory counts, KANBAN material, shelf-life monitoring
• Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

Qualifications

• Enrolled as Junior or Senior in a 4 years bachelor’s program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or currently in an MBA program, with at least a 3.0 GPA
• Part-time schedule with flexibility to accommodate class hours  
• Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
• The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
• Knowledge of office procedures and good writing and verbal skills
