Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Sports Field Attendant may perform a variety of responsibilities such as Scorekeeper, Gatekeeper, Concessions, and Officiating for the various Sports Programs.
SUPERVISION
Under general supervision from the Parks & Recreation Sports Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for opening and closing sports field facilities.
• Complete routine cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and facilities.
• Regular observation and attending of sports fields to maintain safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned, within the scope of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the employee’s signed job description

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
Must be at least 15 years of age.
Specific on the job training provided.
Prior sports field experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Always demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to meet and deal with the public in an effective and courteous manner.
• The ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail amidst a multitask, changing priority environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Frequent amounts of time spent walking or standing.
• Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist and climb.
• The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Hold and grip objects.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; may be required for certain duties
• AED certification preferred; may be required for certain duties
• Valid Missouri Driver’s License preferred and may be required for certain duties. If a MO driver's license is required, must be able to remain insurable under the City’s liability insurance policy.
