About the Role:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Your work will directly impact the quality of life for clients across various age groups by helping them improve their communication abilities and overcome challenges. You will collaborate closely with families, educators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs. This role requires a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring that therapy sessions are engaging and effective. Ultimately, your expertise will empower clients to achieve greater independence and confidence in their daily interactions.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Wyoming.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and evidence-based intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to clients in one-on-one or group settings.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to support holistic care and facilitate generalization of skills.
• Educate clients and their support networks about communication strategies and techniques.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Speech Pathologist to accurately assess and diagnose communication disorders, ensuring that treatment plans are both effective and personalized. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with families and other professionals. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with AAC devices and bilingual abilities, enhance the ability to serve a broader and more diverse client base. Critical thinking and adaptability are used daily to modify therapy approaches based on client progress and emerging research. Overall, these skills combine to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that supports client success and well-being.
