Job Description

Speech, Language, & Hearing Science Student Worker

Responsibilities include:

  • Must Greet and support students within the Speech, Language
    and Hearing Sciences department, as well as clients and families receiving
    services at the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. 
  •  Check inventory and ensure clinical equipment is clean and
    maintained and therapy rooms have appropriate clinical supplies and meet
    universal precaution standards. 
  •  Handle and deliver mail received by the office daily. 
  •  Make copies as requested by professors. Assist professors
    with any special events as requested. 
  •  Maintain a high quality of professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Current ESU Student. Must be proficient in the use of Office Windows-Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. 
  • Should have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, be able to answer phones and take messages when necessary. 
  • Must be professional, organized, and dependable with a high degree of integrity. 
  • Report to work as scheduled, complete assignments, respond to communication quickly. 
  • Must have a positive attitude and be courteous. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Pay Rate & Hours:

  • $10.00 per hour
  • Up to 20 hours per week subject to change.

Employment Eligibility & University Commitment

Must be at least 18 years old and have English literacy skills. Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment.
