Specialty Collections Representative

The Specialty Collections Representative is responsible for managing the submission and collections for all portal and summary invoices. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive relationships with clients while ensuring timely and efficient recovery of funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit management, commercial collection practices, and corporate finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the processing of billing in the accounting system, including editing of proformas, adjustments to unbilled time and disbursements, and preparation of invoices.
Ensure completed billing is returned to attorneys/secretaries within the established timeframe.
Monitor billing received from billing attorneys
Process special billing as necessary and required.
Answer inquiries from attorneys and secretaries regarding billing, client accounts, and time entry.
Assist with month end closing.
Utilize strong problem-solving skills, particularly utilizing logical thinking and mathematical abilities.
Maintain a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other billing software to perform duties.
Participate in other projects as assigned by the manager

Qualifications: Job Requirements:

Proven experience of at least 2 years in a Billing Clerk role.
Familiarity with billing software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
Ability to prepare invoices accurately and efficiently.
Experience in handling billing functions and producing billing statements.
Knowledge of month-end close procedures and processes.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with legal billing procedures and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong numerical skills and the ability to work with complex billing systems.
