Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Anaheim - ANAHEIM, CA, Salary Range: $65218.00 - $81523.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Day/1st Shift, JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing technical part number and cataloging expertise for parts applicable to medium duty trucks, passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and industrial engines.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides in-depth technical assistance to dealers/distributors. Researches parts identification problems and aids dealers with catalog problems pertaining to commercial vehicles, light duty vehicles, and industrial engines.
Fields technically oriented questions from AIPDN Customer Support personnel regarding parts applications relative to ASC market vehicles and provides proper support to solve customer concerns.
Reviews certain manual allocation coded parts ordered by dealers for correct application prior to order release.
Provides in-depth technical assistance to ICTA personnel; researches parts identification problems and aids with catalog problems pertaining to commercial vehicles.
Researches and advises dealers, distributors, ICTA, and AIPDN personnel on alternative supply or fit/function choices and/or methods in long-term backorder situations.
Performs technical inspections of returned parts or of incoming shipments where irregularities are suspected. (Requires driving to California warehouse to perform inspections).
Works with IML, IMIT, & IMA on part fit/function confirmation and substitutions.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Parts Technical Supervisor

 
Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

Two-year degree in automotive technology or related field or directly relevant experience
Two years’ parts counter experience at an aftermarket or dealer level or equivalent related experience

KNOWLEDGE:

Parts catalog knowledge
Thorough familiarity with the fit and function of service parts for medium and heavy-duty trucks, buses, passenger cars, and light duty trucks

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to drive a vehicle and possess a valid driver license
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Good verbal and written communication skills
Research/analytical skills

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer.  This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports, or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.  During technical inspection of returned parts reaching, stooping, and lifting of parts weighing up to 50 lbs. may be required.

PAY SCALE:

The pay scale for this position is between $65,218 and $81,523. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Any offer made to the selected candidate that falls below the California exempt baseline of $70,304 will be classified as non-exempt.
