Licensed for 220 beds, Sovah Health - Martinsville is a full service, acute-care hospital that has been at the heart of Martinsville, Henry County and the surrounding region since it opened as Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County in June 1970. The largest employer in the City of Martinsville, the Martinsville campus employs over 700 people, has over 100 physicians and allied health professionals and provides over 22 medical specialties.

Martinsville has comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, a home health and hospice agency, an advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cardiac catheterization labs, an outpatient surgery center, and medical & radiation oncology services.

Sovah Health Martinsville is accredited by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure, by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer and are a member of the Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network.

• 34 hours of daily physician coverage and 24 hours of daily APC coverage
• Admit rate: 12%
• 10 and 12-hour shifts available
• Eligibility for J1 Visa sponsorship if applicable
• 1 year EM training program for family medicine or internal medicine residents 
• Medium acuity level

Must be board-eligible or board-certified in emergency medicine or board certified in primary care with 2 or more years of emergency medicine experience. New grads welcome! 

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $280 to $300 hourly.
