The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is seeking a creative, organized, and encouraging Fine Arts & Education Lead. This role coordinates classes and events, supports instructors and counselors, communicates with families, and helps maintain safe, welcoming spaces for students.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 29 hours per week, evening hours required

What You Will Do

• Coordinate schedules for instructors, counselors, students, classes, lessons, and events.
• Develop and support programs in music, drama, dance, visual arts, and education.
• Help maintain required staffing levels and Safe From Harm ratios.
• Provide coverage when instructors or counselors are unavailable.
• Assist with training and provide staff with the materials and resources needed for successful programs.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding schedules, cancellations, student concerns, and account balances.
• Track attendance and help reinforce student behavior expectations.
• Keep classrooms, music rooms, art spaces, and supply areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience in education, fine arts, ministry, youth programming, or organizational support. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to lead groups and work positively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs and the ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain The Salvation Army’s driver qualification standards.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Must complete Safe From Harm and CPR training within the first 30 days of employment.

Physical and Work Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods; bend, squat, and walk throughout program areas; and lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Work is performed in classrooms, program spaces, and office settings. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
