Sonographer Responsibilities:

Interacts with patients by identifying self to patient and explaining procedure clearly, while maintaining patient privacy at all times.
Write report based upon completion of the scan. Documents the scans according to the departmental procedures.
Enters, maintains, and records all pertinent patient data.
Must use good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.
Usage of highly technical equipment to produce scans and conduct procedures.
Alerts the appropriate medical staff of abnormalities that require immediate attention.

QualificationsWhat You Bring To Refuah:

Completion of an approved ultrasound technology educational program
Registered as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OBGYN
Experience in MFM capacity
Nuchal translucency certification strongly preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with onsite MFM as well as independently (with provider reading offsite)
Eligible to Work in the US

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts:

Exposed to a variety of clinical conditions, technologies and environmental settings.
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make out distinctions in sound.
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
