About the Role

The Solutions Consultant, AI is a customer-facing, quota-carrying role at the intersection of AI innovation and enterprise ERP sales. You will be the primary voice of Aptean's AI solutions platform for prospective and existing customers, demonstrating AIaaS agents in a sales context and guiding clients through the design of custom agent blueprints. You will bridge the gap between sales and delivery to ensure successful outcomes, working across Aptean's full product portfolio, including ERP, transportation management, and other vertical solutions, partnering with product-specific solution consultants to deliver a cohesive, compelling AI story to every customer.

In this role, you will:

• Own and support a sales number in partnership with Account Executives, actively contributing to pipeline and revenue goals
• Lead customer-facing discovery sessions to understand business challenges and identify AI agent opportunities
• Deliver compelling, live demonstrations of both prebuilt and custom AIaaS agents across Aptean's solution portfolio
• Position Aptean's AI platform as a differentiator, articulating business value, ROI, and competitive advantages
• Guide customers in designing custom AI agent blueprints tailored to their specific business processes, producing structured documentation used for solution scoping, delivery pricing, and project handoff
• Lead structured handoff meetings with the Delivery team following customer sign-off, walking through the full sales process, demo artifacts, and Agent Blueprint
• Maintain touchpoints during active delivery engagements to ensure the solution remains true to the blueprint and customer expectations
• Represent Aptean's AI practice at customer-facing and internal events, including AI Summits, Town Halls, Lunch & Learns, and industry conferences
• Act as an internal AI evangelist, educating colleagues across the organization on what Aptean's AI agents can do and how they work
• Build and iterate on AI agent proofs of concept to demonstrate use cases for prospective customers

About You

You are a consultative, technically fluent professional who is comfortable at the intersection of sales and solution design. You bring strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt your messaging for both business and technical audiences, and you're confident leading live, interactive software demonstrations. You have a knack for synthesizing customer requirements into structured documentation like blueprints, scoping documents, and proposals. You stay current on AI agents and emerging frameworks, and you're motivated by contributing to a sales quota while ensuring the solutions you design carry through cleanly from sale to delivery.

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

• Experience in a presales, solutions consulting, or solutions engineering role, ideally within ERP, supply chain, or enterprise software
• A demonstrated ability to carry or contribute to a sales quota
• Working knowledge of AI agents and Large Language Models, including how agents are designed, orchestrated, and deployed
• Familiarity with APIs and how AI systems integrate with enterprise platforms
• Understanding of SQL for data querying and agent tool design
• Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers or similar agent-tool integration frameworks
• Awareness of agent observability and reliability practices, including monitoring, logging, and production agent quality
• Experience building or deploying AI agents using frameworks such as Langflow, Make.com, Flowise, or similar tools
• Background in ERP software or enterprise business applications, or experience working across multiple product lines in a sales engineering context
