Solutions Architect

About the Role

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to design practical, technically sound solutions that address customer needs and make effective use of the Evidation Platform. This external and internal customer-facing role will serve as a bridge across Business Development, Product, Engineering, and Delivery—translating business and program requirements into scalable solutions that can be successfully sold, configured, and delivered.

The Solutions Architect will develop deep expertise in Evidation’s platforms, tools, and capabilities; guide customers and internal teams toward solutions that are feasible and supportable; and help Evidation adopt more automated, AI-enabled approaches to solution configuration and implementation.

Responsibilities

Solution Design & Pre-Sales

• Lead technical and solution discovery with prospective and existing external customers.
• Translate customer objectives, program requirements, and business needs into clear solution designs.
• Guide customers and internal teams toward solutions that make effective use of existing platform capabilities while identifying where new functionality may be required.
• Partner with Business Development and other commercial stakeholders on technical presentations, platform discussions, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and feasibility assessments.
• Provide technical input during proposal development, scoping, and contracting. Identify technical risks, gaps, and dependencies early in the solution-design process.
• Review solution designs and technical sections of statements of work and contracts to confirm feasibility, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery implications.

Technical Architecture & Feasibility

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor by developing deep expertise in Evidation’s platforms, tools, integrations, and configuration options; evaluating proposed solutions for feasibility, scalability, security, and operational impact; and translating customer and business needs into clear technical specifications for Product and Engineering.

Implementation Enablement and Team Leadership

• Carry solution context from design and contracting into implementation to support a smooth transition and reduce gaps between what is sold and what can be delivered.
• Configure or support the configuration of platform solutions, integrations, APIs, webhooks, data transfers, and identity and authentication tools such as SSO and OIDC.
• Partner with Delivery, Product, and Engineering to resolve technical issues and ensure solutions are implemented as designed.
• Provide technical guidance on implementation plans, configuration decisions, change requests, QA, UAT, and release readiness.
• Build internal knowledge of platform configuration and implementation processes to reduce operational risk and reliance on individual subject-matter experts.
• Balance the ongoing delivery of existing and legacy solutions with the adoption of improved tools and implementation approaches.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring customer and implementation needs, partnering with Product and Engineering to develop and adopt AI-enabled automation, and creating reusable solution patterns, standards, playbooks, and configuration guidance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a proactive connector across customers, Business Development, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Delivery—building alignment, translating feedback into product priorities, and independently navigating complex cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or a similar customer-facing role supporting SaaS or platform products.
• Demonstrated experience designing technical solutions based on complex customer and business requirements.
• Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, webhooks, data flows, and identity and authentication technologies such as SSO and OIDC.
• Ability to translate effectively between business, customer, product, and engineering stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating technical feasibility, defining solution requirements, and identifying risks and dependencies.
• Ability to understand complex platform capabilities and guide stakeholders toward scalable, supportable solutions.
• Experience supporting solutions through both pre-sales design and post-sales implementation.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools and identifying opportunities to automate technical or operational workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to technical and executive audiences.
• Strong cross-functional relationship-building skills and the ability to operate independently in an evolving environment.
• Experience working in regulated contexts, such as ISO 27001 or 21 CFR Part 11, or the ability to develop that knowledge quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or clinical research.
• Experience designing solutions for pharmaceutical or clinical research customers.
• Hands-on experience configuring SaaS platforms and third-party software.
• Experience formalizing reusable solution architectures, implementation playbooks, or configuration standards.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities based on customer and implementation needs.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled or agentic approaches to solution configuration, implementation, or workflow automation.

The compensation for this full-time position includes salary + bonus + equity + benefits. The actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including work location, experience, training, and skill level, so pay for this role may be higher or lower than what is shown on this posting.
