Solutions Architect – D365 F&O

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Architect – D365 F&O based in United States.

This is a senior architecture opportunity at the center of a major global ERP transformation.
You will serve as the highest-level technical authority for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, shaping architecture decisions across a complex, multi-region environment.
The role spans the Americas, EMEA, and other international markets, balancing global standards with country-specific business requirements.
You will lead end-to-end architecture across integrations, data flows, system connectivity, third-party solutions, security, and performance.
Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will translate strategic requirements into scalable solutions and guide implementation teams through complex decisions.
The position also offers significant influence over platform evolution, upgrades, governance, and the resolution of critical technical challenges.
This fully remote U.S. role is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys solving complex problems and collaborating across cultures and time zones.

Accountabilities:

• Define and govern scalable, secure ERP architecture across a complex, multi-region Dynamics 365 F&O environment.
• Align D365 F&O capabilities and technical strategies with business objectives and long-term organizational priorities.
• Lead end-to-end architectural planning covering data flows, integrations, system connectivity, and enterprise application interactions.
• Design solutions integrating D365 F&O with platforms and systems such as Salesforce, Atlas, SnapLogic, and other enterprise technologies.
• Establish the appropriate balance between standardized global templates and country-specific business and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with implementation specialists, business process leads, developers, and global stakeholders to translate requirements into sound architectural decisions.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs, identify risks, ask critical questions, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
• Guide the integration of third-party ISVs and ensure their solutions align with broader enterprise architecture standards.
• Provide technical leadership throughout implementations, including design reviews, code reviews, development standards, and architectural governance.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging D365 capabilities, recommending improvements and managing platform upgrades.
• Act as the highest-level escalation point for complex technical issues and support critical go-lives and deployments.
• Champion best practices for system performance, security, compliance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and travel approximately four weeks per year to support international go-lives, critical issues, and regional collaboration.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of progressive experience in ERP architecture, design, development, and optimization.
• 5+ years of hands-on architecture experience specifically with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, covering both Finance and Operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of D365 F&O functional areas including procurement, sales, finance, and manufacturing.
• Proven experience with ISV integrations and enterprise-scale, multi-country ERP implementations.
• Strong understanding of multi-system data flows and complex global technology environments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical technical strategies and scalable architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications required.
• Enterprise Architecture certifications are preferred.
• Strong experience working across developers, business process leads, implementation teams, and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across multiple countries and cultures.
• Analytical and structured problem-solving approach, with the ability to evaluate complex technical trade-offs and drive decisions.
• Proven ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries and globally distributed teams.
• Experience supporting international ERP rollouts involving users and teams across multiple regions is strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
