Now, we’re looking for a Presales Solutions Architect to join our growing US Sales team and help customers navigate the increasingly complex world of modern software development.

Role purpose

If you have a strong technical background but also enjoy the commercial side of technology, this could be a great opportunity.

Working closely with our US Sales and Global Delivery teams, you’ll lead customer discovery, understand their challenges and connect them with the right combination of Eficode’s services, products and technology partners.

This is a broad presales role spanning DevOps, software development, platform engineering, cloud, developer tooling and AI. You’ll help shape complex solutions, bring in specialist expertise when needed, and support opportunities from early conversations through to a successful handover into Delivery.

As a new role within our growing US business, you’ll also have the opportunity to help shape how we approach presales in the region.

Role responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead customer discovery to understand challenges, priorities and desired outcomes.

• Design and shape solutions across Eficode’s portfolio of products, licensing and services.

• Bring together expertise across Sales, Delivery and our technology partners to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and deliverable.

• Provide solution governance throughout the sales cycle, challenging scope, assumptions, estimates, risks and commitments where needed.

• Partner with Sales to win and grow opportunities, supporting proposals, presentations, commercial discussions, upsell and cross-sell.

• Present compelling solution narratives to senior technical and business stakeholders, clearly communicating value, approach and expected outcomes.

• Ensure a smooth transition into Delivery, with clear alignment on scope, outcomes, commercials, risks, dependencies and customer expectations.

• Use delivery feedback and lessons learned to continually improve propositions, solution approaches and estimating.

• Contribute to commercial targets including pipeline progression, conversion, margin and successful sales outcomes.

• Help strengthen our US presales capability by coaching Sales colleagues and developing reusable tools, approaches and materials.

Role requirements

You’ll make a great match for this role if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions architecture, sales engineering, technology consulting or a similar customer-facing technical role.

• Broad knowledge of DevOps and the software development lifecycle, including areas such as platform engineering, cloud and developer tooling.

• Experience shaping complex technology solutions and working alongside Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

• Strong customer discovery and consultative skills, with the ability to understand pain points and translate them into clear solution directions.

• The confidence and credibility to present to and advise senior technical and business stakeholders.

• An understanding of how AI is changing the software development lifecycle, including developer productivity, platform engineering and enterprise governance.

• A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how technical decisions impact scope, risk and the wider opportunity.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, plus willingness to travel to customers within the US when needed.

Nice-to-haves

It would be an added bonus if you have:

• Experience with Atlassian, GitHub, GitLab or another DevOps/developer platform ecosystem.

• Experience selling consulting, transformation or managed services alongside technology products and licenses.

• Experience acting as a long-term technical advisor to large enterprise customers, including roadmap and expansion conversations.

• Experience working across software vendors, consultancies and partner ecosystems.

• Relevant vendor certifications, architecture credentials or technical education – although practical experience and capability matter more to us than a particular degree.

Remuneration & Location

This is a remote position based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates happy to work within East Coast time zone hours.

The role is customer-facing and will involve travel to customer sites, typically around 20–25%, with occasional international travel.

We offer a competitive market-rate base salary plus commission, dependent on experience.
