Solution Architect I

CTG is seeking to fill a Solution Architect I opening for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Travel: Travel to Buffalo, NY is anticipated approximately every 4–6 weeks. Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Architect and design technology solutions supporting Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention, including BSA, AML, KYC, fraud, and customer identification and verification.

• Collaborate with Agile teams, domain leaders, enterprise architects, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements and capabilities into scalable solution designs.

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical architectures aligned with enterprise standards, principles, and strategic objectives.

• Evaluate technical options, technologies, and solution tradeoffs and communicate recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

• Participate in architecture governance, standards development, solution reviews, and quality assessments.

• Research emerging technologies and assess their applicability and impact on assigned initiatives.

• Resolve domain-specific architecture challenges and collaborate on solutions for dependent products and services.

• Support risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements and escalate issues as appropriate.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, stakeholder meetings, and technical presentations.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Supports an assigned portfolio by architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet product and business needs. Works collaboratively with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, domain leadership, Agile teams, and subject matter experts to develop solutions aligned with architecture standards and principles while considering technical, business, financial, risk, and regulatory requirements.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities. Provides technical guidance and collaborates with architects, engineers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the organization.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

• Demonstrated solution architecture experience, preferably within Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention, including AML, BSA, KYC, fraud, or customer identification and verification.

• Experience with software or service engineering, technology solution delivery, and application integration.

• Experience developing and integrating applications using software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.

• Experience with multiple programming languages and the ability to understand technical architectures and integration approaches.

• Ability to research, evaluate, and apply modern technology trends to technology initiatives.

• Ability to evaluate multiple technical approaches, articulate tradeoffs, and resolve complex technical problems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.

• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Graduate degree in a technical discipline.

• Experience in two or more technical roles involving banking technology design.

• Experience delivering technology or enterprise-level presentations.

• Experience working in an Agile environment.

• Industry-recognized certification in programming languages, cloud technologies, or related technical disciplines.

• Experience working in the financial services industry.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.06 - $71.76/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
