Good Food Grocery – Fall Social Media Intern
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Intern to help tell the Good Foods Grocery story across our digital channels. Working alongside the Good Foods Grocery Marketing Manager, this intern will help grow our audience, celebrate local products and community partners, and shine a light on our social mission. Content creation is at the core of this position.
This is a hands-on role for someone eager to build a real-world portfolio — from content creation and copywriting to publishing and analytics — while contributing to a purpose-driven local business. We're happy to shape the experience to match your interests, skills, and career goals.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborating with the CA Communications Manager and GFG Marketing Manager, the intern will:
- Create and edit social media content, including graphics, photos, and short-form videos.
- Writecopyand build content for our monthly newsletter.
- Write content for blogs.
- Assistin planning and publishing the social media calendar across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Help manage and update website content through WordPress.
- Support with database contact entries.
- Monitor and evaluate social media analytics and industrytrends andshare insights with the team.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Interest in the retail / social enterprise space.
- Proficiencywith social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and a feel for what makes content engaging.
- Creativity and a good eye for visual storytelling.Comfortwith design or short-form video tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite,CapCut) is aplus butnotrequired.
- Strong writing andcommunicationskillswithattention to detail.
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a college program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Flexible and eager to learn in a friendly, mission-driven environment.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Term: Fall 2026 — September 15th – December 1st
Hours: 10–15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule around classes
Location: Hybrid with a mix of remote work and on-site time at Good Foods Grocery, and the Commonwealth Autism Headquarters building, 3062 Stony Point Road / 9221 Forest Hill Ave, Richmond VA
