Social Media Coordinator-Part Time

THE ROLE  

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating, editing, and posting high-quality content across Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social media platforms to support Century 21's brand presence and drive customer engagement and store visits. Serves as a day-to-day steward of the Company's voice across social channels, working closely with senior leadership and the marketing team to plan, produce, and execute content that reflects the energy of the store and its merchandise. Expected to stay current on platform trends and translate them into content that is timely, professional, and on-brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Content Creation & Execution

• Creates, edits, and posts high-quality photo, video, and written content across Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social media platforms.
• Plans and maintains a content calendar that aligns with merchandise arrivals, promotions, seasonal moments, and store events.
• Captures in-store content, including product features, styling, and store atmosphere, to drive awareness and in-store visits.
• Adapts content style and format to fit the conventions and best practices of each platform.
• Edits photo and video assets using relevant editing and design tools to ensure a consistent, polished brand look.

Community & Brand Engagement

• Monitors and responds to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, professional, and on-brand manner.
• Builds engagement with followers and the broader online community to strengthen brand affinity and loyalty.
• Represents the Company positively and does not disparage the Company, its brand, or its business partners in any public or professional setting.
• Ensures all content is original, professional, and free of disparaging, defamatory, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate material.
• Ensures content does not infringe on the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, or rights of privacy or publicity.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Executes social media content and posting schedule in support of the Company's brand and marketing objectives.
• Partners with marketing and store teams to identify content opportunities tied to merchandise, promotions, and events.
• Tracks post performance and engagement metrics and shares learnings to inform future content decisions.
• Communicates proactively with senior leadership on content plans, results, and any needs beyond the current scope of work.

Compliance & Professionalism

• Maintains and protects the confidentiality of proprietary Company information and does not disclose it to any third party.
• Performs all duties in a timely, professional, and compliant manner, adhering to applicable laws and Company policy.
• Understands that all content and creative work product created in connection with this role is the property of the Company.

 QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Demonstrated experience creating and posting content on Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms, ideally in a retail, fashion, or lifestyle brand setting.
• Working knowledge of photo and video editing/creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar).
• Strong understanding of current social media trends, platform algorithms, and native content formats (Reels, Stories, short-form video, etc.).
• Comfort using platform analytics and insights to gauge performance and refine content strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and brand voice.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a content calendar and posting schedule while adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively with leadership.
• Comfortable capturing content on the sales floor and coordinating with store teams with minimal disruption to the guest experience.
• High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential and proprietary information.
• Reliable availability, with flexibility based on business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends for time-sensitive content.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with relevant social media, editing, and scheduling platforms.

COMPENSATION

$30.00/hourly wage
