The Sports Performance Associate supports the New England Revolution with on-field performance operations, strength and conditioning programming, and athlete monitoring. This role contributes to the implementation of training protocols, data collection, analysis, and daily performance department functions. Working with the Academy Sports Performance Coach and in collaboration with coaching and sports medicine staff, the Associate helps promote athlete development, optimize performance, and assists return- to- play processes. The role may also support select First Team and Second Team performance activities as needed, providing additional exposure to high-performance training environments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and maintain player wellness, training-load, match-demand, and strength and conditioning data to support individualized performance programming and athlete development.
Execute daily warm-up and physical preparation activities in accordance with established Sports Performance programming and coaching requirements.
Develop and administer individualized pre-training activation and post-training strength protocols under the direction of Sports Performance staff.
Implement on-field and gym-based strength, conditioning, speed, mobility, and recovery programs in accordance with established performance objectives.
Coordinate with Sports Medicine staff to implement approved training modifications and individualized return-to-play programming for injured or rehabilitating players.
Conduct assigned physical-performance testing, maintain accurate testing records, and produce timely performance reports for Sports Performance and Coaching staff.
Collect, validate, analyze, and report athlete readiness, wellness, training-load, fatigue, testing, and match-performance data in accordance with department protocols.
Deliver established athlete education and guidance related to physical conditioning, injury-prevention strategies, recovery, nutrition, and off-season programming within the scope of the Sports Performance function.
Maintain compliance with applicable MLS medical policies, protocols, Game Operations Manuals, and required Sports Performance meetings and procedures.
Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field (Or in pursuance of).
2-4 years of related experience.
Professional, collegiate, or elite youth soccer playing experience, or equivalent experience supporting soccer operations, coaching, or performance within a professional, collegiate, academy, or high-performance environment preferred.
Experience designing training reports using Excel or Tableau (Preferred).
Experience using technologies such as Catapult GPS and Vald Testing System (preferred).
Experience implementing strength and conditioning programs for youth level athletes.
Knowledge in strength training, Olympic lifts, plyometrics, speed development, conditioning, flexibility, injury prevention, nutrition, and strength and conditioning equipment.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
Flexible work schedule with the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays if required by team schedule. 
Ability to travel within Massachusetts on weekends, with occasional out-of-state travel opportunities.
Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week in alignment with team and training schedules.

CSCS certification (Preferred or in pursuance of).
CPR/First Aid certification
