Job Details: Job Location: Waterville Valley Resort - Waterville Valley, NH, Position Type: Seasonal, Salary Range: Undisclosed, We are looking for a dependable and motivated Compressor Operator to join our Snowmaking team for the upcoming winter season. The Compressor Operator plays an important role in keeping our snowmaking system running efficiently by monitoring pumps, compressors, and computerized control systems while maintaining constant communication with the snowmaking team.
Responsibilities
Monitor and operate computerized snowmaking control systems.
Monitor snowmaking pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
Operate large horsepower electric motors, pumps, and air compressors.
Maintain accurate equipment and snowmaking logs.
Communicate regularly with the Snowmaking Foreman and snowmakers to coordinate production.
Monitor changing weather conditions and snowmaking needs and react accordingly.
Help maximize snowmaking efficiency and system performance.
Perform light maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on snowmaking equipment.
Assist with maintenance of snowmaking pipes, valves, hydrants, and related systems as needed.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive guest experience.
All other duties or tasks assigned by management.
Schedule
This is a winter seasonal position, with an anticipated start date around October 1st. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on weather and snowmaking conditions.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to monitor equipment and react appropriately to changing conditions.
Basic working knowledge of snowmaking systems.
Mechanical repair and troubleshooting experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced winter environment.
Previous snowmaking experience is preferred but not required.
