Snowmaker

At Winter4Kids, every role helps create life-changing experiences for youth.

As a Snowmaker, you are responsible for creating and maintaining the snow conditions that allow thousands of young people to safely experience skiing and snowboarding each winter. Working alongside the Mountain Operations team, you'll help ensure the mountain is prepared to deliver exceptional learning experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

Snowmaking Operations

• Operate snowmaking equipment in accordance with Winter4Kids' snowmaking plan and safety procedures.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust snowmaking operations as directed.
• Operate compressors, pumps, snow guns, valves, hydrants, and related equipment.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and relocation of snowmaking equipment.
• Maintain quality snow surfaces that support safe and enjoyable youth programming.
• Operate snowmobiles and UTVs in accordance with Winter4Kids training and safety standards.

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections of snowmaking equipment.
• Monitor water systems, pumps, compressors, hoses, valves, fuel systems, and related equipment.
• Identify and report equipment concerns promptly.
• Complete maintenance logs and operational documentation accurately.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions
• Ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during snowmaking events
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Previous snowmaking or ski area experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Experience with diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, or industrial systems
