Snowcat Operator/Groomer
Catamount Ski Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Snowcat Operator/Groomer to
join our mountain operations team for the winter season. The ideal candidate is a safety-
minded individual with a passion for creating exceptional ski conditions. This is a crucial role
responsible for preparing our trails each night to ensure a high-quality, memorable experience
for our guests every morning.

Responsibilities
● Operate heavy equipment, specifically a snowcat, to groom and maintain ski trails to the
highest standard.
● Move, flatten, compact, and till snow to create ideal surfaces.
● Perform pre-trip inspections and regular maintenance checks on equipment, including
checking fluid levels, track tension, and other critical components.
● Document and report any mechanical or safety issues to the maintenance team.
● Operate other vehicles such as snowmobiles and UTVs as needed.
● Work collaboratively with other departments and communicate effectively via a two-
way radio.
● Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
● Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
● Minimum of 2 year's experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers or other
diesel/hydraulic machinery.
● Must be at least 18 years of age.
● Possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions.
● Comfortable working in a small team and independently.
● Must be able to sit for extended periods.
● Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends,
and holidays.
● Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
