Snack Shop Attendant

Orchard Valley Golf Course, located in Aurora, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Snack Shop Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
 
Compensation:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour plus tips
 
Schedule:
Weekend availability is required.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner.
• Prepares and serves food and beverage items.
• Maintains an organized and clean work area.
• Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.
• Reports to the department manager when supplies need to be ordered.
• Stocks and inventories products.
• Responds to guest questions regarding general information about the facility.
• Provides support to food servers and beverage cart attendants to ensure excellent service to members and guests.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
• Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Food and Beverage Manager and Chef.
• Reviews the schedule for changes, calendar of events, and facility activities daily.
• Processes snack bar purchases with the EZLinks point of sale (POS) system.
• Manages cash transactions.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• No experience necessary; will train.
• Must meet the age requirement for serving alcohol and have obtained a BASSETT card.
• Past Food and Beverage experience not required but is a plus.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Experience using point of sale (POS) systems.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Handler certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
