About the Role:Shades By Matiss is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving associate to join our team in Mountainside, NJ. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of our operations, ensuring products move efficiently in and out of our facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Accurately process and document outbound shipments using shipping software and carriers
- Pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain organized inventory storage and assist with stock management
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
- Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, safe, and well-organized
Requirements:
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred
- Familiarity with shipping platforms such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills for processing orders and maintaining records
- Strong organizational and time management skills

• Industry-leading lead times (typically 7 days, as little as 2 days for in-stock fabrics)
• Motorization options including the full range of Somfy and Rollease Acmeda products
• Expertise in Exterior Screening Solutions, Outdoor Living Spaces, and Specialty Systems
• Advanced manufacturing capabilities, with 3 state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge fabric cutting and hem welding equipment
