Baker Valley Floors is looking for an experienced Sheet Vinyl Installer to work with us as a subcontractor.

We’re looking for a skilled, dependable professional who takes pride in their workmanship and understands that a great sheet vinyl installation starts with proper preparation, precision, and attention to detail.

Our projects include residential and commercial work, and this is a great opportunity for an experienced installer who would like to stay busy with quality projects through the rest of the year.

What You'll Be Doing

Subfloor Preparation

• Sweep, scrape, patch, and sand subfloors to create a smooth, properly prepared surface
• Identify and correct imperfections that could telegraph through the finished vinyl
• Apply skim coats or leveling compounds when needed
• Ensure the subfloor is properly prepared before installation

Measuring, Cutting & Fitting

• Accurately measure and cut sheet vinyl
• Precisely fit material around corners, pipes, cabinetry, and other obstacles
• Create clean, tight-fitting installations
• Properly align and finish seams for a seamless, professional appearance

Adhesive Application

• Select and properly apply the appropriate adhesives
• Ensure a strong, long-lasting bond between the vinyl and subfloor
• Follow manufacturer specifications and industry best practices

Finishing & Detail Work

• Roll newly installed vinyl to eliminate air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion
• Install transitions, trims, and baseboards as needed
• Complete final detailing to ensure the finished installation meets our standards for quality and appearance
