ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:

Neighborhood Healthcare offers clinical rotation opportunities for students actively enrolled in nursing programs. This opportunity provides a hands-on learning experience under the guidance of one of our experienced registered nurses. Students will have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while gaining exposure to community health.

Please note: Clinical rotation opportunities are only available to students from schools where Neighborhood Healthcare has an active affiliation agreement. We are unable to accommodate students from schools without such agreements. Applying does not guarantee placement, as rotations depend on provider availability and acceptance. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe patient-provider interactions under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Gain insight into the daily workflow of primary care, including patient visits, charting, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Learn about the roles and responsibilities of different healthcare team members
• Engage in patient care activities as directed by your program requirements and preceptor guidance
• Develop clinical skills, including patient interaction, case documentation, and care coordination
• Adhere to Neighborhood Healthcare’s standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be actively enrolled in a BSN/RN program requiring clinical hours
• Must attend a school with an active affiliation agreement with Neighborhood Healthcare
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance is required)
• Professional demeanor and respect for both patients and staff
• Willingness to abide by all clinic policies and shadowing guidelines
