Program Summary: We are looking for a Mental Health Consultant to collaborate respectfully with families and staff to understand and respond to the mental health needs of infants, young children, and families. They provide support for children with behavioral concerns or developmental challenges. The consultant helps support the overall well-being of children and families.

Consultation in Classrooms: Help children and adults build strong relationships by suggesting approaches like safe environments, consistent schedules and routines, and age-appropriate social and emotional strategies.

Consultation in Programs: Work with administrators and staff on the program’s social and emotional climate and culture of wellness for infants, young children, and families.

Position Summary: Under general direction, the Consultant will:

• Support parents and staff through check-ins 
• Facilitate training
• Lead staff wellness activities
• Share resources on mindfulness or stress reduction, and support programs in practicing strategies and techniques
• Share resources to promote the mental health of children and families 

Position Eligible to Work Remote: NA 

Starting Salary: $60 per hour. This is a temporary, non-benefit position. Hours are flexible and will be determined by assignments, program need, and availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Related Field with knowledge of infant 

toddler and preschool child development and mental health

OR

1.  Licensed or certified mental health professional

AND

1. At least three (2) years’ experience
