ServiceNow Implementation Specialist

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a ServiceNow Implementation Specialist to configure and implement approved ServiceNow capabilities for a Federal Agency. This role translates validated requirements and architecture into maintainable platform configuration, automation, integrations, catalog/workflow capabilities, and controlled production deployments while providing late-window engineering depth.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday, representative late implementation shift supporting the end of the 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Eastern service window; planned after-hours activities and rotating on-call support as required.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and a post-award Government background investigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement approved ServiceNow capabilities from validated requirements and CTA-approved designs, favoring out-of-the-box features and reusable components over avoidable customization.
• Configure forms, tables, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Script Includes, Flow Designer flows/subflows/actions, catalog items, notifications, and approved portal/workspace components.
• Implement capabilities across TO-relevant ServiceNow areas such as ITSM, ITOM/Discovery, CMDB/CSDM, IntegrationHub, SPM, Performance Analytics, App Engine, and other approved products as assigned.
• Build and configure integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub spokes/actions, MID Servers, service accounts, and approved authentication/certificate patterns; coordinate end-to-end testing and operational handoff.
• Support CMDB/configuration-data implementation and data-quality validation, including reconciliation with connected systems and approved governance standards.
• Prepare and execute controlled promotions to TEST and PROD using approved update-set/application-repository and CI/CD practices; maintain deployment plans, rollback steps, release notes, and configuration evidence.
• Execute unit/functional checks and partner with the Tester on ATF, integration, regression, performance, and UAT validation before release.
• Provide late-window deployment and implementation support, including troubleshooting, post-production validation, and handoff to the operations team.
• Support technical-debt reduction and approved restoration of customized capabilities toward out-of-the-box behavior where doing so improves maintainability and upgradeability.
• Create implementation guides, configuration documentation, demonstrations, knowledge articles, and transition materials; support user training and knowledge transfer as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Three or more years of hands-on ServiceNow implementation/configuration experience in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two ServiceNow capability areas such as ITSM, ITOM/Discovery, CMDB/CSDM, IntegrationHub, SPM, Performance Analytics, App Engine, or SecOps.
• Hands-on ability with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Script Includes, Flow Designer, catalog/workflow configuration, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow data/configuration concepts.
• Experience with controlled release promotion, update sets/application repositories, CI/CD, automated testing, and release documentation.
• ServiceNow CSA plus one or more relevant CIS credentials strongly preferred or required where mandated by the applicable labor category.
• Strong communication and requirements-translation skills, with demonstrated ability to work with architects, developers, analysts, operations staff, and customer stakeholders.
• Ability to support the assigned late implementation window and planned after-hours/on-call events.
• S. citizenship and ability to satisfy High Risk IT background-investigation and sensitive-information requirements.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

• Federal consulting or financial-regulatory experience.
• App Engine Studio, UI Builder/Workspace, IntegrationHub, CMDB Health, or ATF experience.
• Experience implementing ServiceNow capabilities in a shared multi-vendor platform with formal architecture/security governance.

The posted salary range for this role is $90,000-110,000. The posted salary range is not an exact indication of the actual compensation offered and is instead a range of what NetImpact, in good faith, could compensate at the lowest and most high end of the salary market. In general, NetImpact may not pay the top of the salary range.
