Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job RoleConducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.

Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes. Maintains high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.

Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance to disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer’s specifications.

Capable of interpreting structural drawings and demonstrate the ability to perform layout and assembly functions from these drawings with minimum supervision. Prepares parts or materials to be welded and performs the appropriate welding for the needed repair as per experience or specified procedure.

Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards. Assists with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties.

Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.

Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost overrun, prior to the job being completed.

Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team. Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Trains and/or mentors others in department.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceFormal Education High School diploma or GED

Experience 3-4 years

Required / CredentialsAble to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Completed required training curriculum to be designated a Service Welder II.

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

3g and 4G SMAW, FCAW, GMAW certifications.

Must possess thorough knowledge of safety requirements and procedures related to oxygen/acetylene welding, cutting, and heating.

Must possess thorough knowledge of safety requirements and procedures related to carbon air arc metal removal.

2-5 years welding and fabricating required.

Training, Compliance, and Work Location Requirements

This role requires current MSHA Part 48 certification, as well as full compliance with all Ring Power RVL and DOT regulations.

The selected candidate will complete a training and evaluation period at Ring Power’s Riverview, FL facility. During this period, Dragline Per Diem II will be provided.

Please note: Travel time and mileage reimbursement are not offered during the training period, as the assigned work location during this time will be Riverview, FL.

Upon successful completion of training and evaluation, the candidate will be assigned to the Miami location once fully qualified.

Not Required but Highly Desired CriteriaProficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Updating of Knowledge Job requirements frequently change requiring re-training once or more per year.
