Service Cashier Job Responsibilities

Greet customers professionally and create a welcoming service experience.

Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with general service-related questions.

Process payments accurately for completed repair and maintenance services.

Handle cash, credit card, and check transactions in accordance with company policies.

Provide invoices and explain charges when needed.

Balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.

Maintain accurate records and prepare end-of-day reports.

Keep the cashier workstation clean, organized, and professional.

Assist the service team with administrative and clerical support as needed.

Service Cashier Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of customer service, cashiering, or front-desk experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling payments
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Previous automotive dealership experience
Experience working with point-of-sale (POS) systems

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, and able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
