This position plays an important role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests by preparing dining areas, assisting with meal service, clearing tables, and maintaining clean and organized service areas. ABOUT BAY COLONY

Bay Colony is one of Naples most upscale communities in Southwest Florida. The community is a private community within Pelican Bay and is embraced by a by a gracious perimeter. JOB DUTIES

• Carries dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.
•  Keep dining rooms, service stations, and equipment clean, stocked, and organized. 
• Supplies service bar with food such as soups, salads, and desserts.
• Cleans and polishes glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
• Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensers.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• Set up and break down the dining room for lunch and dinner service.
• Set tables with tablecloths, china, napkins, glassware, and silverware.
• Serve water to guest and assist in the iced tea service.
• Ensure tables are set up according to floor plan.
• Greet guest and converse with them in a professional manner.
• Refill bread and butter during dinner service
• Clear all tables during lunch and dinner service.
• Assist in the total breakdown of the dining room at the end of a shift and then reset for the following shift.
• Vacuum when necessary.
• Advises Department Leaders of any complaints.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food and beverage service role in a fine dining, private club, hotel or resort setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems preferred.
• Positive, Energetic, Engaging and Outgoing Personality.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor.
• Exceptional organization and time management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Great active listening skills.
• Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an active position requiring extended periods of standing and walking. The position requires frequent bending, reaching, carrying, and lifting food trays, dishes, tables, chairs, and glassware weighing up to 50 pounds.
