Server Assistant Busser - Merwin's Wharf

The Server Assistant/Busser cooperatively works together with staff to provide a clean, safe, quality experience for guests and provides excellent guest service.

1. Clears and resets tables, restocks supplies, removes trash, checks restrooms in a prompt and accurate manner with full focus on customer service.
2. Greets customers and provides outstanding service to all customers and the general public while displaying a positive, friendly attitude and demeanor.
3. Assists staff including servers with various needs such as greeting, seating guests and food delivery. Responds appropriately to guests requests and communicates guests’ requests to the server as needed.
4. Maintains a clean and safe facility.
5. Adheres to all policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe facility.
6. Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
7. Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
8. Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Must complete ServSafe program.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends with flexibility for special events.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
• Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Work Schedule: Must be available to work a variable schedule to include, mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
