The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking a Part-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team.

Located in the heart of Portland’s historic Old Port District, our property is a proud Historic Hotel of America, known for exceptional guest service, timeless charm, and a welcoming team environment.

Schedule:
Morning shift required: 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM, with flexibility to pick up PM and Banquet shifts

Position Summary

The AM Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by professionally greeting them, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals efficiently, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, team-oriented, and thrives in a guest-facing hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
• Restock service items throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet
• Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures
• Assist with training new team members as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• TIPS Certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
