Position Summary:
Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming, clean, and efficient dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
- Serve food and beverages promptly and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and workstations
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance
- Handle cash, credit transactions, and provide correct change
- Upsell menu items, specials, and promotions when appropriate
- Restock bar supplies, glassware, and garnishes
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of drink recipes, bar equipment, and food service procedures
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry trays, kegs, or supplies (up to 25–50 lbs)
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
- May be loud and busy during peak hours
