About the Role:

As a Server in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective will be to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of orders while maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting to enhance the overall guest experience. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the establishment’s reputation for quality service and customer loyalty.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as a server in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate order timing and resolve any service challenges.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Process guest payments accurately and handle cash or electronic transactions securely.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe dining environment.
