Toppan Merrill has an exciting opportunity for a Senior XBRL Consultant to join our remote U.S. team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to public company clients, providing expertise in SEC reporting, XBRL tagging, financial disclosure compliance, and regulatory filing requirements. You will partner with clients throughout the filing lifecycle, leveraging your accounting expertise, XBRL knowledge, and consultative approach to deliver high-quality reporting solutions while mentoring team members and supporting business growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, review, validation, and submission of complex XBRL filings and financial disclosures, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC reporting requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on SEC regulations, XBRL taxonomy requirements, reporting best practices, and financial disclosure compliance.
• Manage multiple client engagements, filing deadlines, and project deliverables while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracy standards.
• Review filings using validation tools, resolve compliance issues, and communicate filing recommendations and findings to clients.
• Conduct client onboarding, software demonstrations, and training sessions related to XBRL reporting and Toppan Merrill's Bridge platform.
• Mentor consultants and associates by providing technical guidance, coaching, and support on client engagements and filing activities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Care, and Consulting teams to address client needs, support business opportunities, and improve client reporting processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry changes, communicating impacts and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of external financial reporting experience with SEC reporting companies.
• Direct experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Strong knowledge of XBRL reporting, financial statement tagging, taxonomy concepts, and validation processes.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Public accounting experience, particularly within audit or assurance environments, strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated client-facing consulting experience with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with financial reporting solutions such as Bridge, Workiva, ActiveDisclosure, or similar platforms preferred.

We understand that your skills deserve recognition. That's why we offer a competitive pay scale ranging from $95,000 - $115,000 Annually, based on experience and expertise. We believe in compensating our dedicated team members fairly for their hard work and commitment. Please note that actual salaries may vary within, above, or below this range based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business needs, and location.
